An alumnus of University of California, Berkeley, Avani completed her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture with a focus on Sustainable Environmental Design and Urbanism in Developing Countries. She is also an alumni of Alpha Rho Chi, a National Professional Fraternity for Architecture and Allied Arts where she held several leadership positions during her tenure.
She has won several accolades like the Camille J. Ehrenfels Scholarship Award (2015-16), the class of ’24 Scholarship Award (2016-17) for outstanding academic achievement, the Design Futures Student Forum Scholarship recipient (2015) and the Certificate in Entrepreneurship Technology.
Her professional skills include various design and development softwares such as Adobe Suite, Autodesk – Maya, AutoCAD, Climate Consultant, Revit, Rhino3D, SAP2000, Sefaira, Sketchup, V-Ray, Model – Making and Professional Photography.
Currently Avani travels between various countries working on projects ranging from the redevelopment of a 200-year-old botanical garden in Kolkata, residential and co-working spaces in Mumbai to affordable housing township development in Africa.
Avani's philosophy of sustainability reflects in her personal life. She foresees Veganism as a futuristic lifestyle, and has trained to be a plant food chef in California.
